Want to learn to play your favourite instrument but am struggling with reading notes?

Learning theory of music is your stepping stone to learning an instrument efficiently.

Through this course, you will learn the basics such as note-reading, rhythm counting, key signatures, time signatures and general musical terms used to describe dynamics, styles and articulation. As you progress on to higher grades, this course teaches you and helps you to understand harmony, melody writing and reading scores at a quicker pace. You will also gain knowledge of other instruments and help increase your performance skills though the understanding of musical terms taught in Italian, German and French.

Course Duration

Min. 6 months per grade.
Lessons are held once a week.

Lessons are conducted once a week for 1 hr.

Examinations

You may opt to take Graded music exams under the prestigious music examination board, Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Examinations are conducted twice yearly, (March or October), and registration can be done via SOMA.
