Ted is an accomplished tenor and dedicated educator, renowned for his dynamic stage presence and commitment to vocal performance. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at NUS, with a major in Voice Performance and a minor in Theatre Studies. His training includes graduating from the School of the Arts, Singapore (2017), and participation in YSTCM’s Young Artist Programme (2016). Under the guidance of tenor Reuben Lai and Prof. Alan Lee Bennett, Ted developed the artistry that now inspires his students.
Ted’s passion for opera and musical theatre has shaped his diverse career. He debuted in New Opera Singapore’s Dido and Aeneas (2014) and expanded his repertoire with roles in Acis and Galatea (2017), Speed Dating Tonight (2022), Stravinsky’s Pulcinella (2022), The Fantasticks (2023), and Bellini’s La Sonnambula (2023).
As an educator, Ted shares his professional insights into opera and musical theatre, nurturing students to develop their unique voices and connect with audiences through storytelling.
