Diploma Courses
Yes, 16 years old. There’s also no age limit; we welcome Seniors who are passionate about music and keen to pursue their interests.
No, our courses are designed to develop individuals of varying music backgrounds and skills, including those with little to none. The only exception is our Diploma in Music Performance, which requires students to have a minimum Grade 5 Performance and Grade 3 Theory.
Both courses are the same; full-time is 12 months in duration and part-time is 18 months.
International students are required to enrol in full-time courses. Local students who are studying while working are encouraged to enrol in part-time courses as lessons are conducted during weekday evenings.
Definitely! All Diploma students are allowed to use any school facilities within operating hours, at no additional costs. We are open 7 days a week, 9 hours a day. Booking is required prior to usage via our online booking system.
SOMA is the awarding body. As a 4-year EduTrust PEI with an established reputation of providing quality music education over the last two decades, our Diploma is internationally-recognised by renowned music universities around the world including Berklee College of Music, Australian Institute of Music and The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance.
Certificate Courses
Diploma Courses offer comprehensive curriculum covering a wide range of topics, with a deeper understanding and a broader set of skills, leading to further studies or employment within the industry. Certificate Courses are short, introductory courses which focuses on a specific topic. They serve as a stepping stone into our Diploma courses, and are also taught by the same faculty.
The recommended age is 15 years and above. If your child is below this recommended age, possesses a strong music foundation and is able to learn alongside other adults, you may choose to enrol him/her.
Performance Labs
We take in students as young as 5 years old.
Fees are paid monthly and due on the first lesson of the month (except Dance PL). If there are 5 weeks for that month, you may opt to pay for the 5th lesson or take a break.
48-hour notice is required in order to receive a Make-up lesson credit; this can be used on the 5th week of the month or as additional lessons. Any notice less than 48 hours will be considered a last-minute-cancellation and the lesson will be charged accordingly.
1-month notice is required for withdrawal of the course. Your deposit will be utilised to pay for this final month of lessons.
