Getting started with the guitar

• Introduction to the different parts of the guitar
• Proper posture, holding techniques, and basic handling
• Understanding how to tune and care for your instrument

Learning to read and play basic chords

• Learn essential beginner chords: G, Em, C, D, Am
• Reading and understanding simple chord diagrams
• Smooth transitions between chords

Strumming and Rhythm Basics

• Introduction to basic strumming patterns
• Exploring rhythm and timing through simple exercises
• Playing along to accompaniment tracks of familiar tunes

Strum & Sing Coordination

• Learn to strum and sing familiar tunes using the chords learnt
• Practising melody and rhythm together at a comfortable pace
• Building confidence in singing while playing

Playing Together as a Group

• Group practice sessions to develop timing and listening skills
• Listening to each other and staying in sync

Mini Performance Showcase

• Rehearse and prepare for performance
• Put together a simple group performance for family and friends

By the end of the workshop, you will:

• Be able to play and switch between basic guitar chords
• Strum along to simple songs with steady rhythm
