Shirlene Tia

Vocalist Shirlene has a wealth of performing experience. She headlines regularly in national level shows, most recently being the lead singer in the “Remember” Medley for 2013’s National Day Parade, and lead singer for Chingay 2013’s Theme Song “Fire in Snow”. Highlights in her musical journey include delivering a moving rendition of “My Island Home” at the 2010 Singapore Heritage Festival Opening Ceremony and recording the theme song “音樂盒(十指相扣)Music Box” for local movie “The Blood Ties”.

Shirlene has entertained audiences overseas – having sung at the Singapore Day in Melbourne for a 10,000 strong crowd. In addition, Shirlene has put up multi-ethnic dance extravaganzas, leading teams of artistes in Moscow, Germany and Tokyo alongside the SAF Central Band. She is also known as a recording artiste, recording various demos like “昨天我十五岁”, which was later sold to Taiwanese Artiste Tong En. Versatile as a performer, Shirlene is not just a songstress and dancer but also a competent host. She is most comfortable not just belting out songs from any genre, but also hosting for her own gigs at Stage Prinsep Street and Tradehub 21 Obar, performances at corporate dinners and even at wedding functions.

Shirlene is also a notable actress, having starring in numerous national plays – Total Defence Day 2009 “5 Pillars 1 Roof”, 2012’s NS45 Skit “From Fathers to Sons”, “Ah Boys to Men – The Musical!” amongst other engagements.

She is a Singapore Polytechnic graduate, having graduated with a Diploma in Media and Communication in 2005.
