Daniel Chia is one of the most in-demand saxophone performers and educators in Singapore. The Bachelor of Science Education graduate from the National Institute of Education (Nanyang Technological University) left his job as a teacher in the Ministry of Education to pursue a career in the music industry in 2016. Since then, he has performed and toured around the world, covering Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Japan, Korea and the USA. He has performed with artists from a wide range of genres, ranging from Larry Carlton to Kit Chan. Despite being equally adept at Jazz, Pop and Classical music, his own original music is in the genre of Smooth Jazz. His debut album was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Paul Brown, featuring the top Los Angeles session musicians. His music was played on more than 200 radio stations worldwide and received numerous accolades, such as being named as one of the Top 25 albums of 2017 by Smoothjazz.com.
