
Ashley Chua
Singaporean classical soprano Ashley Chua is an experienced singer and vocal tutor, having over 14 years of performing experience. She started singing in opera productions at the age of 11 before going on to study at School Of The Arts Singapore, then furthering her studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance as one of the top performing students in her cohort.
As a performer, Ashley has significant experience in opera as well as recitals, and was awarded 1st place in multiple competitions such as the Royal Over-Seas League competition, North of Perth Music Festival, as well as the Camberwell Grammar School Award in Melbourne, Australia. She has also sung in masterclasses in Singapore, Australia, Italy and Denmark.
While a good singing technique forms the basis of Ashley’s teaching, she also believes in going beyond technique to build confidence and performance skills in her students. She teaches all ages, both live and online, and is able to prepare students for TCL and ABRSM, as well as aural and music theory.
